Caitlin Clark’s Signature Moment: Autographed WNBA Draft Card Sales Smash Records
Caitlin Clark’s WNBA Rookie Card Sells for Record-Breaking $84,000
In April, the Indiana Fever selected Caitlin Clark first overall in the WNBA Draft for the second consecutive year. The franchise decided to use the highly coveted pick to add a top prospect to the roster in a row.
The card sold at auction for about $84,000, surpassing the record for the most expensive women’s basketball card ever. This unique card also included Clark’s autograph.
Clark’s card is currently the second-highest-selling card in women’s sports history. The “Blue Viper” version of Clarke’s Panini Instant Brand card marks the first time she has appeared on a card with a Fever jersey.

After finishing the 2023 season with 13 wins and failing to make the postseason, Clark, Kelsey Mitchell and last year’s top draft pick Aliyah Boston helped the franchise’s fortunes remain in jeopardy. Indiana finished the 2024 regular season with a 20-20 record.
Clark finished the regular season averaging 19.2 points, 8.4 assists and 5.7 rebounds. Her assist average was the highest in the league in 2024. Clark and the Fever recently clinched a playoff spot, with Game 1 of their first-round series against the Connecticut Sun in Indiana set for Sept. 22.

Clark is very popular. WNBA Draft Rookie Cards featuring Clarke are highly sought after by collectors. Clark’s card surpasses the record for the most expensive women’s basketball card ever, which was set earlier this year when someone paid $78,000 for an autographed card from 2022 Bowman College superfracturer Kaitlyn Clark.
Clark’s impressive stats and popularity have made her a fan favorite. Her rookie card is a must-have for any WNBA collector.
