Cam Fowler to Debut for Blues Tonight vs. Stars

Blues Bolster Blue‍ Line with Fowler Acquisition, Set to Face Stars

Dallas, TX – The St. Louis Blues have added veteran defenseman Cam Fowler to their‍ roster, and he’s expected to make his debut tonight against the Dallas stars at American Airlines Center (7 p.m., FanDuel Sports Network, 101 ESPN).

The trade, ⁢announced just before morning skate, ​sent shockwaves through the Blues locker⁣ room. While the⁣ coaching staff hadn’t finalized Fowler’s placement in the lineup,​ Head Coach jim ⁣Montgomery hinted at‍ a potential top pairing​ with Colton Parayko.

“You ‌can never have enough good defensemen,” Montgomery said. ⁣”And it’s good with the way we’ve⁣ been using our top ‍four,⁣ with ⁤the⁣ minutes, to ⁤have someone else come in who’s going⁤ to be able to ‍eat a lot of those minutes as well.”

Fowler brings a wealth of ‍experience to the Blues, having played over ⁤800 NHL ⁢games. His arrival⁤ comes at a crucial time as the⁣ Blues look to solidify ​their playoff push.

In addition to Fowler’s ‌debut,⁤ forward Alexandre Texier is also expected to return to‌ the lineup ⁢tonight. Brandon ​Saad, however,⁣ is projected to be a healthy scratch. montgomery outlined what he expects​ from⁤ Saad moving forward.

“A little more productivity ‌as far as creating more scoring chances,being in more consistent areas where goals are scored​ between the dots,” Montgomery‌ said. “That would be the primary focus.”

While⁢ the Blues were hopeful Radek Faksa could return to face his⁢ former team, the forward did not make the trip to Dallas.

Lines and defense pairings will be ‌updated following⁣ warmups.
