Tyler, the Creator's Iconic Festival”>Camp Flog Gnaw Festival Review

Overview
Camp Flog Gnaw is a music festival founded by Tyler, The Creator. It started with Odd Future and has grown into a major event in Los Angeles. The festival runs for two days and features RnB, jazz, hip hop, and alternative music. After attending last year, I found it well-organized and enjoyable. Here’s my detailed review.

Planning and Ticketing – 7/10
The festival announces its dates in late June, with tickets going on sale the next day. This quick sale makes it hard for some fans to afford tickets, which range from $372 to $1757. The lineup is revealed about a month before the festival, which shows the trust fans have in Tyler. Most attendees are willing to buy tickets without knowing the full lineup.

Transportation – 5/10
Transportation to the festival has issues. I took two trains to Union Station, expecting a free shuttle to Dodger Stadium. However, when I arrived, a long line awaited me. Many attendees chose Ubers instead due to the wait. After the festival, shuttles back to Union Station were difficult to access. A security guard informed us that people had blocked the streets. I opted to walk instead. More shuttle locations could improve future transport options.

App Functionality – 7/10
The festival app helps with wristband registration, set times, and FAQs. It also assists in locating lost items. However, the app slowed down during the event due to crowd density. Despite the slowness, it remains useful for planning your festival day.

Safety and Cleanliness – 9/10
The festival uses a wristband system for entry, which is efficient. Baggage checks are minimal, and attendees can bring backpacks. The festival provides water stations and free Narcan for emergencies. Medical staff respond swiftly to incidents. The cleanliness was impressive as trash was regularly collected.

Fun and Culture – 10/10
The festival atmosphere is vibrant. Fashion is a highlight, with many attendees dressed in Tyler-inspired outfits. The overall mood is joyful, and everyone treats each other with respect.

Performances – 10/10
Performances are the heart of Camp Flog Gnaw. Artists like Doechii and Omar Apollo brought high energy and strong stage presence. Tyler’s set was the pinnacle, featuring his newest album and engaging visuals. Fans were deeply invested, singing along and enjoying the experience.

Food – 8/10
Food and drink prices are high. I paid $37.23 for a margarita. While the options were varied and plentiful, some items felt overpriced. More transparency regarding allergens on menus would be beneficial for attendees with dietary restrictions.

Conclusion
Camp Flog Gnaw is an unforgettable experience. The festival creates a welcoming community vibe. With top-notch performances, vibrant culture, and a fun atmosphere, I will return next year.
