(Daejeon = Yonhap News) Reporter Chanwook Jeong = Professors of the Department of Applied Music at Mokwon University presented busking (street performance) on campus.
According to Mokwon University on the 12th, five professors from the Department of Applied Music held a live concert commemorating the 20th anniversary of the department’s opening at noon the previous day at the staircase plaza in front of the school’s art museum.
Jeong Jae-yeol (jazz guitar), Oh Gu-il (contrabass), Yoon Deok-hyeon (vocals, trumpet), Park Hyun-min (drums), and Professor Andy Kim (piano) performed a wide range of pop, jazz, and popular songs, including ‘Autumn Leaves’, which is perfect for a mid-autumn day. They impressed us with a wide range of genres of music.

School members, including students and faculty, and residents of nearby areas gathered together to watch the performance.
Nakjun Song (3rd year, Department of Applied Music), who watched the performance, said, “The professors’ busking, which I don’t normally see, looked unique and cool.”
President Lee Hee-hak, who was also present, encouraged the students, saying, “Being able to enjoy high-quality performances by professors on campus is a special asset unique to our university.”
