While andreescu’s withdrawal cast a shadow, the National Bank Open also saw a significant upset in the women’s singles. Eugenie Bouchard, in what is expected to be her final professional tournament, delighted the home crowd with a stunning first-round victory. The Westmount,Que. native defeated Emiliana Arango of Colombia 6-4, 2-6, 6-2. Marino’s Tournament Ends in Second Round
