Norris Fastest, Piastri Hits Wall at Canadian Grand Prix Practice
Montreal – Lando Norris secured the fastest lap in Saturday’s final practice for the Canadian Grand Prix. The McLaren driver clocked in at 1:11.799 at Circuit Gilles villeneuve.Simultaneously occurring, his teammate and Formula 1 points leader, Oscar Piastri, made contact with the infamous “Wall of Champions.”
Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc, back on track after a Friday crash, finished 0.078 seconds behind Norris. George Russell of Mercedes, who started on pole in 2024, was third, followed by Lewis Hamilton in fourth. Max verstappen of red Bull, seeking his fourth consecutive Canadian Grand Prix victory, ended the session in fifth.
