MONTREAL—George Russell captured the Canadian Grand Prix on Sunday in a race punctuated by a dramatic collision between McLaren teammates Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. The incident, which occurred late in the race on Lap 66 as the pair battled for fourth position, is under investigation by stewards for ”alleged causing a collision.”
Norris, attempting to overtake Piastri, drifted wide and made contact with the Australian’s car, resulting in norris’s retirement. Piastri managed to continue, extending his championship lead to 22 points.
