Smoke from⁤ Canadian wildfires is impacting air quality across a wide swath of ‍the United States,triggering alerts from Minnesota ⁤and Michigan down to South ​Carolina. The wildfire‌ smoke, a result of over 180 active⁤ fires ‍in ⁤Canada, ⁢poses a health‌ risk,‍ especially‌ for sensitive groups.

The Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Center reports that 91 of the Canadian wildfires ⁢are burning out of control. To date,the ⁢fires have consumed more than 3.7 million acres.
