Candace Owens Investigates Charlie Kirk’s Widow in New Series

Candace Owens Investigates Charlie Kirk’s Widow in New Series

February 24, 2026 Ahmed Hassan - World News Editor News

WASHINGTON (TNND) — Podcaster Candace Owens has released a trailer for an investigative series focusing on Erika Kirk, the widow of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk. The series, titled “Bride of Charlie,” is set to premiere on Wednesday, February 25.

A Contentious Investigation

The trailer, shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, features news coverage of Charlie Kirk’s assassination last September while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. It then transitions to coverage of Erika Kirk’s subsequent role as CEO of Turning Point USA. The preview includes critical clips of Erika Kirk and references to unsubstantiated claims, sparking immediate and widespread backlash.

The series comes after Owens repeatedly questioned the official investigation into Charlie Kirk’s death, suggesting the possibility of a broader conspiracy. She has publicly speculated about the involvement of various actors, including, without providing evidence, potential connections to Israel. Tyler Robinson has been charged with Kirk’s murder, but Owens has expressed doubts about his sole responsibility, suggesting he may have been involved but not acted alone.

Owens and Erika Kirk met privately in December, reportedly for a four-and-a-half-hour conversation, in an attempt to address the growing tensions and speculation. However, Owens has continued to voice her suspicions, implying betrayal by individuals close to Charlie Kirk.

Backlash and Accusations of “Evil”

The release of the trailer has been met with fierce criticism from across the political spectrum. Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro labeled Owens’ actions as “evil” and urged Erika Kirk to pursue legal action. “She is making money off the murder of Charlie Kirk by literally implicating his widow and everyone else at [Turning Point USA] in that murder, and then trying to dig up pseudo-dirt on the wife of the person who was murdered,” Shapiro said in a statement.

Media pundit Meghan McCain also condemned the series, describing it as “pure, unadulterated, f–king evil” and expressing sympathy for Erika Kirk and her family. Seth Dillon, of the Babylon Bee, questioned what Charlie Kirk would think of his friends’ actions.

A spokesperson for Candace Owens acknowledged the backlash but defended the series, stating, “The series will speak for itself, and you can watch the premiere episode [Wednesday].”

A Divided Conservative Movement

The controversy surrounding Owens’ investigation has exposed deep divisions within the conservative movement. The accusations and speculation have created tension between those who support Erika Kirk and those who align with Owens. This rift follows a period of increasing scrutiny of Owens’ claims and theories regarding Charlie Kirk’s death, which have been described by some as fueling antisemitism.

In December 2025, Owens published podcasts titled “Charlie Kirk Suspect Charged. Something Isn’t Right…”, “Who Ordered the Hit on Charlie Kirk?” and “They Are Lying About Charlie Kirk,” further amplifying her doubts about the official narrative. These podcasts, and now the upcoming documentary series, continue to raise questions and fuel debate surrounding the circumstances of Charlie Kirk’s death.

Erika Kirk is scheduled to attend the State of the Union address on Tuesday as a guest of President Trump, adding another layer of visibility to the ongoing controversy.
