Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and Terence Crawford are set to face off in a highly anticipated super-fight in Las Vegas on Saturday, Sept. 13, for the undisputed super-middleweight title. The blockbuster event, dubbed the “fight of the century” by Turki Alalshikh, will be streamed globally on Netflix.
Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s general entertainment authority, is collaborating with UFC President Dana White to promote the event. This marks the first boxing promotion for White in collaboration with Alalshikh.
“Turki wants to make the biggest fights that the fans want to see in boxing and this is right up my alley,” White said. He added that promoting Canelo versus Crawford as his first boxing fight is “literally a once-in-a-lifetime fight.”
