⁢ murders occurred over⁤ a seven-day period in September 2021 at the Mid City Inn in Euless, Texas. Prosecutors
⁣ argued, and ⁢the jury‍ agreed, that Thornburg lured each victim to his motel room⁣ before killing them.

Evidence presented at trial showed Thornburg slit the throats of two victims‍ and strangled Phillips. He then
dismembered the bodies in the motel bathtub,storing the remains in plastic bags. Authorities said Thornburg
