Canon announces firmware update for C400, C80, C70, C500 Mark II, C300 Mark III, R5 C, XF605

Canon has announced firmware updates for its Cinema EOS and professional camcorder series. Additionally, the Canon Multi-Camera Control app for iPhone and iPad has been updated to version 1.2.

In addition to releasing the EOS R1 and new lenses, Canon has also been listening to user feedback for its Cinema EOS and Pro video cameras. As a result, the company has announced several firmware updates, stating that all updates are a direct result of the feedback it receives.

• Show digital teleconverter icon at startup

EOS C500 Mark II/ EOS C300 Mark III

• Camera output to mirror the camera’s LCD display
• When you start up, the digital teleconverter icon will be displayed.

• RF17-120 CINE-SERVO lens, new RF70-200 F2.8 L IS USM Z zoom lens, compatible with RF24mm F1.4 L VCM and RF50mm F1.4 L VCM hybrid lens

• Show digital teleconverter icon at startup

EOS R5 C

• Supports RF17-120 CINE-SERVO lens, compatible with RF70-200 F2.8 L IS USM Z zoom lens, RF24mm F1.4 L VCM and RF50mm F1.4 L VCM hybrid lens
• Camera output to mirror the camera’s LCD display
• Show digital teleconverter icon at startup
• New subject tracking trigger
• You can move the AF point to the desired position by dragging or sliding it on the display.

XF605
