Table of Contents
Cantiere Mimì celebrates its 50th anniversary and 50th appearance at the Genoa Boat Show with an expanded stand showcasing eight models from the Libeccio range, including two world premieres and several boats never before presented at a show. The event runs from September 8-23, 2025.
A Half-Century of Boatbuilding Excellence
The 64th Genoa Boat Show provides the perfect backdrop for Cantiere Mimì to celebrate its golden anniversary. Founded in Naples in 1975 by Salvatore Senese, the company, now led by Domenico Senese, his brother Massimo, and his children Rosaria and Simone, traces its roots back two generations. Domenico, known as ‘Mimì’, started by building and hiring out small fiberglass boats.
Over the past 50 years, the shipyard has evolved from a small family business into a leading name in artisanal Italian boatbuilding, producing over 100 boats annually, achieving steady turnover growth, and selling more than 3,000 units.
international Expansion and Innovation
In recent years, Cantiere Mimì has focused on internationalization, consolidating its presence in key Mediterranean markets and expanding its sales network into Asia and Northern Europe. The company has also entered the Oceania market through an agreement with Australian dealer Boatology, with whom it will attend the Sydney Boat Show in November.
In collaboration with designer Valerio Rivellini, the yard has created the Libeccio range of planing gozzo boats, ranging from five meters to 13.5-meter cabin cruiser versions. Additionally,Mimì has begun producing models with hybrid propulsion, such as the Libeccio 9.5 cabin, which can cruise for several hours on electric power.
