Tabasco, Mexico

Classes have ⁢been suspended at a school in Cárdenas, Tabasco, following an outbreak of teh Coxsackie virus, according to the Secretary of Education of Tabasco, Patricia Iparrea Sánchez.

Sánchez stated that‌ a significant increase in ⁣infections prompted the ⁢Ministry of ⁣Health to reccommend the ⁢closure ‌of the school.

In the municipality‌ of Cárdenas,they see that we have‍ the epidemiological outbreak,then the classes have been suspended,only in the municipality of Cárdenas. Applying, the data director was already sent to the school and ‍becuase we are already with the suspension on that squad, in the rest of the⁢ municipality.

The Secretary of Education added that the school will ⁣remain closed for at least one⁢ week.

Parents are⁤ urged to ‌monitor their children for symptoms ⁤to ⁤prevent further ⁢spread of the virus.
