Cardi B Disputes Claims of Involvement in Report Alleging Bot Activity Boosting Nicki Minaj’s Posts

Cardi B has publicly refuted allegations made by Alex Bruesewitz, an advisor to Donald Trump, suggesting she had a role in a recent report detailing bot activity amplifying Nicki Minaj’s posts on X, formerly known as Twitter. The dispute stems from a Politico article that examined the proliferation of bots interacting with Minaj’s increasingly conservative-leaning content.

According to the Politico report, disinformation research company Cyabra discovered over 18,000 bots were engaging with Minaj’s posts, artificially elevating their visibility on the platform. Dan Brahmy, Cyabra’s CEO and founder, reportedly told Politico that the majority of this activity originated from fake profiles.

Bruesewitz responded to the article on X, dismissing the findings as “100% BS” and asserting that Nicki Minaj, “the most popular female rapper of all time,” does not require bots to generate engagement. He further accused journalist Jason Beeferman of failing to disclose a purported partnership between Cyabra and Cardi B’s agent.

“It’s incredibly unethical and inappropriate that Beeferman failed to disclose that relationship, given the very public disputes in the music industry,” Bruesewitz wrote. “Fake news is the enemy of the people!”

Cardi B swiftly responded to Bruesewitz’s claims on X, vehemently denying any involvement in the Cyabra report. She characterized Bruesewitz’s assertions as baseless and threatened legal action.

“Listen, you involved me in something that has nothing to do wit me so now we’re gonna talk about the facts,” Cardi B posted. She went on to detail Cyabra’s business structure, highlighting its diverse investor base, including Mike G, and prominent clients such as Elon Musk and Pepsi. The company also reportedly has Mike Pompeo on its board of advisors.

“So what you need to focus on is the fact that data is VERY real and leave me out of your bulls**t. I do not have anything to do with that and I don’t give AF!!” she continued. “Now lie and say that’s not true!!! See what happen when you involve me in s**t that don’t have nothing to do with me? I get down to the GRISTLE of it!! And btw I am still gonna sue you, you wet dirty dog.”

Cardi B also expressed her disinterest in the political discourse, stating, “I’m on a sold out tour and don’t give af about none of what you and your people got going on. America got so many issues, businesses are closing, homeowners are slashing the prices on their homes, interest rates are high.. Yet Trump’s advisor is arguing on Twitter with a female rappers.”

Mike G, an advisor and investor in Cyabra, entered the online exchange to defend Cardi B. “Let’s be clear: my advisory role and investment in Cyabra along with multiple other tech companies has absolutely nothing to do with Cardi B,” he stated on X. “Cardi doesn’t need bots, narratives, or manufactured noise. She moves culture on her own.”

He added, “I invest in innovation. I represent artists. Those are separate lanes. Trying to spin this into something else is lazy and misleading.”
