Career education developed by Seibudai Chiba Junior and Senior High School – Supporting students’ dreams through three major projects: “Medical,” “Teacher Training,” and “ICT Future Creation” in collaboration with local communities and companies | University Press Center
We will send you junior high and high school news releases from University Communications.
At Seibudai Chiba Junior and Senior High School (Noda City, Chiba Prefecture/Principal: Hidenobu Suda), we offer career education to help students realize their dreams: “Medical Project,” “Teacher Training Project,” and “ICT Future Creation Project.” Set up a big project. These courses allow students who aim to become medical professionals, teachers, and information creators to learn beyond their grade levels and subject classes, and are implemented in collaboration with outside parties such as private companies and public facilities.
Seibudai Chiba High School was founded in 1986 as Takeyo Gakuen High School, an all-boys school. In 1989, the name of the school was changed to Seibudai Chiba High School and it became co-educational. Seibudai Junior High School opened in 1992 and was renamed Seibudai Chiba Junior High School in 2012.
The school not only provides guidance for students to enter competitive universities, but also develops projects for career education for students. In addition to the “Medical Project” and “Teacher Training Project” for students who aspire to become “medical professionals” or “teachers,” we have recently established a new “ICT Future Creation Project” for students who aspire to become information creators.
Both support the voluntary learning of interested students through training, volunteer activities, field experiences, and exam guidance.
The outline of each project is as follows.
■Medical project
This is a review of conventional nursing/medical guidance and developed as a new medical project. Through this project, we aim to develop a wide range of knowledge, rich humanity, and communication skills as medical professionals.
Specifically, we will collaborate with the Noda City Medical Association to provide opportunities to hear the voices of those in the field, and conduct internships at local hospitals. In addition, efforts to prepare for traditional entrance exams were carried out in cooperation with medical universities. Through various initiatives, high school students learn the basics of medical care and acquire knowledge, while also learning how to prepare as a medical worker, a profession that touches people’s lives.

■Teacher training project
The school has many students aiming to become teachers, and has established its own teacher training project. Twice a month, we conduct “elementary school learning support volunteers,” and “teacher training guidance” by graduates who have worked as public school teachers. We also offer a “Teacher Employment Examination Preparation Course” for graduates who have just entered university.

■ICT future creation project
With “information” being added to the common test from the 2025 entrance exam, it is becoming increasingly important to develop human resources (information creators) who are highly capable of utilizing information to meet the needs of modern society. We carry out an inquiry-based program that can cover a wide range of occupations, not just those in the field. We support students in their career paths and in realizing their dreams through a variety of hands-on activities.
