The exhibition, titled “At full throttle in the catastrophe?”, explores diverse perspectives on environmental crises and climate change.

The exhibition, which has toured several German cities in recent years, showcases drawings and other works reflecting on humanity’s duty toward the environment. Artists from both Eastern and Western europe offer unique interpretations, highlighting the varying economic realities and social characteristics that shape perceptions and artistic expressions.
A “common House” in Crisis
Organizers say the exhibition aims to broaden understanding of environmental issues,notably through the lens of Eastern European artists. The theme resonates with the late Pope Francis’s encyclical “Laudato Sí,” published a decade ago, which refers to the Earth as our “common house.”
Vernissage Details
The vernissage,or opening reception,will be held Saturday,April 26,at 5 p.m. at St. Johannes Church in erding. Music will be provided by the band Irish Moos. the exhibition will remain open to the public until May 25.
