A carjacking suspect was arrested after crashing into a dental office in San Jose on Thursday, according to police.
The incident occurred around 6:50 p.m. In the area of Burdette Drive and King Road, where officers responded to a disturbance involving a weapon.
According to authorities, the suspect brandished a box cutter at several people and attempted to steal a vehicle as the victim was loading items in the back.
The suspect took the victim’s keys and entered the vehicle, then drove directly through KC Dental on King Road despite efforts by officers to stop him.
Officers took the suspect into custody and booked him into the Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of multiple crimes, including carjacking, assault with a deadly weapon, and robbery.
Both the carjacking victim and the suspect sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the incident.
