Carla Jeffery, the American actress recognized for playing Bree in the Disney Channel musical franchise “Zombies,” died on September 1, 2026, at the age of 33, according to her representative Carla Alexander of Alexanders Talent Management.

The exact cause of death has not been made public. The news of her death was first shared through her official Instagram account and confirmed by her talent agency.

“With profound sadness we communicate the passing of our dear Carla Jeffery, who died on September 1, 2026, at the early age of 33,” Alexanders Talent Management stated in an Instagram announcement. The agency noted that Jeffery had joined its roster of clients when she was 12 years old, watching her grow over more than two decades. “She was more than a client; she was family,” the agency stated.

Career in Disney Channel’s Zombies Franchise and Television

Jeffery achieved widespread recognition among young audiences for her role as Bree, the best friend of the protagonist cheerleader Addison, in the Disney Channel franchise “Zombies.” The musical-comedy-horror series is set in a fictional high school where cheerleaders, zombies, and supernatural creatures coexist.

The first film premiered in 2018 and was followed by two sequels, accumulating roughly 250 million viewing hours on Disney+, as reported via The New York Times. Jeffery reprised her role across all three films and voiced the character in several animated shorts of the derivative series “Zombies: The Re-Animated Series.”

Born in Houston, Texas, on July 10, 1993, Jeffery entered the entertainment industry alongside her twin brother, Carlon Jeffery, who also pursued an acting career. When the family moved to California, the siblings began taking acting classes.
