Carlito, 46, is officially a free agent after his WWE⁢ contract was not renewed.‍ He announced his departure on⁤ social media Saturday, signaling a return to the wrestling scene.

Earlier in June, Carlito alluded to his exit from WWE, ⁢humorously stating that the company accused him of “stealing money” during ‍the final months of his ⁢contract. He posted on social media about the situation.

⁤ ‍ “My contract ⁣is ⁢up in 2 weeks.⁤ it will not be renewed. On ‍top of⁢ that, WWE is demanding I ⁢pay back the $ they paid me for apparently “stealing⁢ money” from the company. I’ve had my lawyers look into it ⁣and after‍ reviewing my footage ⁤on Netflix for the ⁤past months they suggested I pay ⁤them ⁢back the money. All Jokes Assaide, thank you wwe & specially the ‍wwe universe.‍ I love you very much!”

Carlito’s most recent WWE run began at Backlash 2023⁤ in Puerto Rico. Before that,he had appearances at the 2021 Royal Rumble and the following “Raw,” marking his comeback sence his 2010 ⁢release for⁢ violating the Wellness Policy.

During his time back, Carlito initially joined the LWO before turning‍ on Dragon Lee in spring 2024. He then⁢ aligned with The Judgment Day after ⁤being drafted to “Raw,” remaining with the group until his recent departure.
