The Instituto de Promoción de la Carne Vacuna Argentina (IPCVA) has initiated the third edition of the “Fans de la Carne Vacuna Argentina” competition, a nationwide event designed for students and teachers. In 2023, the Escuela N° 321 “Provincia de Buenos Aires” from San Salvador de Jujuy secured the first prize. Last year, the honor went to the students of the 1st and 2nd year from Instituto Técnico José Hernández, located in Wenceslao Escalante, Córdoba.
Participation Guidelines for the Beef competition
The call for entries for the “Fans de la carne Vacuna Argentina” Competition is now open to all public and private educational institutions in Argentina, specifically targeting students in the 6th or 7th grade of primary school and the 1st year of secondary school. The deadline for participation is May 30th inclusive.
Participating teams are expected to demonstrate their knowledge, communication skills, synthesis abilities, and creativity. Evaluation Process
The submitted entries will be evaluated by a jury comprising allied institutions and IPCVA members. The jury will select up to twenty-four (24) “provincial winning” grades, one per province, and up to twenty-four (24) grades with “provincial mentions,” also one per province.
Among the provincial winning grades, the IPCVA Jury will designate one grade that stands out above the rest, which will be crowned as “El Gran Campeón Nacional.”
How to participate in the Argentine Beef Contest

Prizes for the “Fans de la Carne Vacuna” Competition
According to the IPCVA, prizes will be awarded only to the students who are part of the enrolled grade/course “team,” the responsible teacher, and the school.

The first-place provincial winners from each of the twenty-four jurisdictions corresponding to the 24 Argentine provinces will receive the following:

- Full asado (barbecue) for the winning TEAM
- A school kit for each child member of the winning grade
- A personal computer for the RESPONSIBLE teacher of the grade (model subject to availability at the time of awarding)
The second-best works from each of the twenty-four jurisdictions corresponding to the 24 Argentine provinces will receive the following prizes:

“Gran Campeón Nacional” Prize
The best work selected from all grades of the twenty-four (24) provinces will be awarded an educational (study and recreational) trip to the City of Buenos Aires for the winning grade and their responsible teacher. this includes a stay of two days and three nights in CABA and a visit to the next Exposición rural de Palermo.
The entity clarified that if the “Gran campeón Nacional” is from the Autonomous city of Buenos Aires, they will win an educational trip to a productive livestock establishment in the province of Buenos Aires with an overnight stay, a cultural visit to the City of Buenos Aires, and a visit to the Exposición rural de Palermo.
