Carrillo on the Brink of Zamalek Move as Al-Qadisiyah Make Official Approach
Andre Carrillo’s Move to Zamalek Gains Momentum
Saudi club Al-Qasisa have taken formal action against Peru’s Andre Carrillo, a move that could speed up the player’s transfer to Egyptian side Zamalek.
Zamalek club has been in negotiations with the Peruvian player, who previously played for Al-Hilal club, and the move could be finalized soon.
On Sunday evening, Al-Qadisiyah club announced the severance of its association with Carrillo, with the Peruvian player officially leaving the Saudi club.
Al-Qadisiyah Club issued an official statement, confirming Carrillo’s departure from the team.
Zamalek’s Interest in Carrillo
The measure could be in the interest of the Egyptian team, Zamalek, which entered into serious negotiations with the player last week.
A Zamalek club source revealed that the player has already agreed to wear the white shirt, but has set tough financial conditions.
The source added: “The Zamalek club is trying to convince the player to reduce his financial demands, as he requested a signing bonus during a free transfer, in addition to requesting a large sum of money.”
Zamalek will conduct a final round of negotiations with the player and his agents, to reach a compromise that will convince the player to join the team and at the same time not burden the club’s coffers.
Carrillo’s Performance and Market Value
Carrillo played 29 matches with Al-Qadisiya last season and managed to score two goals and set up another five.
The Peruvian player’s market value is estimated at 1.5 million euros, according to the transfer market website.
