Cartagena, FL – The Cartagena Mayor’s Office, through the District Administrative Department of health (Dadis), is aiming to close out 2024 with the highest number of residents immunized against 30 preventable diseases. A final vaccination push is scheduled for this Friday, December 13th, and Saturday, December 14th.
The launch will take place simultaneously in two key neighborhoods: La Esperanza, sector Navidad Puerto de Pescadores, and el Pozón, sector Las Pilanderas. Parents and caregivers can bring their children, teenagers, and even adults to receive free vaccinations. The drive also targets women of childbearing age, pregnant women, and senior citizens.
“We urge all parents and caregivers to take advantage of this opportunity and ensure their children and loved ones are fully vaccinated,” said Edelia Pájaro Martínez, leader of Dadis’ Expanded Immunization Program. “This is crucial for protecting them against serious, possibly life-threatening diseases like tetanus, whooping cough, diphtheria, hepatitis B and A, polio, and many others.”
