Cashinova is gaining international attention after the popular chicken chain, Wingstop, featured his song “Flawless” in a new commercial.

Cashinova, a music artist from Minnesota, recently experienced a surge in popularity. His song “Flawless,” released in 2020, is now played weekly during Thursday Night Football. The artist credits his recent success to a tour with fellow musician Prof, which included stops in California.

Everything changed for Cashinova this fall when the ad agency 72andSunny reached out with an exciting offer. They informed him that Wingstop wanted to use “Flawless” in their commercial. Initially, Cashinova thought the offer was a scam. However, upon signing the contract, his song began airing in commercials featuring former NFL cornerback Richard Sherman.

Since the ad’s debut, Cashinova has seen an increase in interest in his work. Shazam searches for “Flawless” jumped from about 800 to over 4,000. Although streaming has not been lucrative for many artists, the financial compensation from Wingstop was significant for Cashinova.

He reflected on his journey, mentioning his family’s refugee background. “I come from a low-income community in St. Paul. The payment from Wingstop helped me buy a new home. I moved from the struggles of Vietnam and Cambodia to a house in the cornfields of Minnesota. It’s an American dream,” he stated.

Cashinova’s new home, built in 2024, has five bedrooms and three bathrooms. He lives there with his fiancée and their four children.

Finally, he has a message for aspiring musicians: “To the young kids out there who have dreams, just keep going. You never know if that song from four years ago will be the one.”
