Cassie Ventura Lawyer: Diddy Verdict Reaction

Cassie Ventura Lawyer: Diddy Verdict Reaction

July 2, 2025 Robert Mitchell - News Editor of Newsdirectory3.com News

Since the verdict in Diddy’s federal case has been revealed, Cassie Ventura’s lawyer has released a statement on his client’s behalf.

Diddy was found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, known as the Mann Act. Douglas Wigdor, Ventura’s lawyer, said in a statement“This entire criminal process started when our client Cassie Ventura had the courage to file her civil complaint in November 2023.”

He continued, “Although the jury did not find Combs guilty of sex trafficking, Cassie beyond a reasonable doubt, she paved the way for a jury to find him guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution. By coming forward with her experience, Cassie has left an indelible mark on both the entertainment industry and the fight for justice. We must repeat, with no reservation, that we believe and support our client who showed exemplary courage throughout this trial.”

Wigdor went on to commend Cassie for speaking up. “She displayed unquestionable strength and brought attention to the realities of powerful men in our orbit and the misconduct that has persisted for decades without repercussion.” He added, “This case proved that change is long overdue, and we will continue to fight on behalf of survivors.”

Cassie Ventura was one of 34 witnesses to take the stand and testify against Diddy. During her testimony, she described the things she endured while in her 10-year relationship. “Sean controlled a lot of my life, whether it was career, sex, everything,” she testified. “I didn’t have much say, I was super young, I didn’t know if he would be upset enough to be violent or not want to be with me at all.”

She also said that she participated in hundreds of Diddy’s “freak-offs.” She added, “It was always in the back of my mind that I would somehow be hurt by him,” she said on the stand. “Sean is a really polarizing person. He was very charming, it was hard to decide in that moment when he was telling you what he wanted. I just didn’t know what would happen.”
