The Argentine forward Valentin ‘Taty’ Castellanos continues to make a positive impact for West Ham in the English Premier League. The 27-year-old Mendoza native scored in West Ham’s 2-0 victory over Burnley on date 25 of the season, demonstrating his growing value to the London club.

Castellanos, on loan from Italian side Lazio, entered the match as a starter and solidified the visiting team’s win with a well-placed header in the 26th minute. This marked his second goal for West Ham since joining the team earlier this year, adding to a previous strike in a 2-1 victory against Queens Park Rangers in the FA Cup.

The opening goal for West Ham came from Crysencio Summerville in the 13th minute. West Ham currently holds 23 points and remains in a challenging position within the relegation zone.

Elsewhere in the Premier League, Chelsea secured a 3-1 win against Wolverhampton, with captain Enzo Fernandez featuring in the starting lineup. Cole Palmer was the star for Chelsea, scoring all three goals, two from the penalty spot.

Bournemouth, with defender Marcos Senesi (formerly of San Lorenzo) in the lineup, drew 1-1 with Aston Villa. Aston Villa included Emiliano ‘Dibu’ Martínez and Emiliano Buendía in their starting eleven.

In Spain, Barcelona continued their strong form with a convincing 3-0 victory over Mallorca at Camp Nou in a preview of matchday 23 of LaLiga. The Blaugrana displayed an impressive attacking performance, further solidifying their position at the top of the table.

Polish striker Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring in the 29th minute, followed by a goal from rising star Lamine Yamal in the 56th minute. Youth player Marc Bernal completed the scoring in the 78th minute for Hansi Flick’s side.

Lewandowski’s goal brought his total to 114 goals for Barcelona, placing him within the top 15 all-time leading goalscorers for the club.

Argentine right-back Pablo Maffeo started for Mallorca in the match.
