Castilla y León Boosts Agricultural Training With New FP places

The Junta de Castilla y León is considerably expanding its agricultural training (FP Agraria) offerings, adding over 500 new slots for the 2025/2026 academic year. These places are spread across eight integrated agricultural training centers (CIFPA), overseen by the Ministry of agriculture, Livestock and Rural Growth.
The training program includes 22 cycles, encompassing a basic degree, 11 medium-level degrees, and 10 higher-level degrees. These cycles fall within three professional categories: agrarian, food industry, and physical-sports activities. The announcement was made in segovia during the Spanish Riding Championship with Ponies 2025.
The Segovian center offers guidance cycles in natural environments, leisure time, equestrian activities, livestock management, and animal health care.
González Corral noted that the application period for the upcoming course concludes on July 7. The new offerings include a medium-level degree in agroecological production in Almázcara (León), tailored to the horticultural and fruit sector of El Bierzo.Also new is a basic degree in agricultural activities in Santa Espina (Valladolid), providing students a path through various agribusiness levels.
Additionally, the higher degree in livestock and animal health care, which began last year at the Cifpa de Ávila, will be fully implemented with the second-year curriculum.
in total, the ministry is offering 984 places, including new admissions and returning students. González Corral emphasized the governmentS commitment to training as essential for generational renewal and enhancing the competitiveness of farms and the broader agricultural sector.
“Training [is] an indispensable element for generational relief and the enhancement of the competitiveness of the farms and, therefore, of the sector,” said González Corral.
