The ⁣autonomous community of Castilla y León achieved a surplus of 444 million⁢ euros ‍up too November 2025, ⁣compared to ⁣625 ⁢million in the same ⁤period of 2024, representing 0.57 percent of GDP, 0.26 percentage points less than last⁤ year when it reached 0.83 percent, according to data published this Friday ‍by the Ministry of Finance.

This is the ‍ seventh largest amount in⁣ absolute terms of the surplus of the autonomous communities, led by Andalusia,⁢ with 1.310 million euros, followed ⁣by the Canary Islands, with 720 million; Catalonia, with 701 ⁣million; the⁤ Foral Community‍ of Navarre, with 621 million; the ⁣Basque Country, with 534 million, and Galicia, with 457 million euros. Last year it‍ reached the fourth ⁣largest amount.

Though, in percentage ⁢terms relative to the weight of GDP,⁢ Castilla y León records the sixth highest percentage among⁤ the autonomous communities with ⁤a surplus up to ‍November – all‍ except the ⁢Valencian Community (-1.18 percent), Murcia (-0.76 percent) and ‍the Community of Madrid ‍(-0.06 ⁣percent)–.

Navarre (+2.21 percent), Asturias (+1.38 percent)⁤ and the Canary Islands (+1.17‍ percent) recorded the largest surpluses⁣ in ⁢comparison with GDP. In total, ⁤the⁢ regional governance registered a surplus at⁤ the end of November 2025 of 3.406 million euros, 0.20 percent of GDP‍ and 53.8 percent less than the previous year.

The increase in ⁤income by 3.8⁢ percent raises resources to 248.118 million, 1.9 ⁣percentage points below the growth of expenditure, which increases by 5.7⁣ percent, reaching 244.712 million. Community⁤ taxes have grown ⁢by 7.2⁤ percent to 97.803 million and within them, taxes on production and imports reach the figure of 21.291⁤ million.

For their part, income from taxes on⁢ income and wealth increases ‍by ⁤6 percent to a total of ‍73.632‍ million, of which 63.792 million corresponds to the ‍advance payments made by the State, with an increase of 9.9 percent. Income received from taxes on capital reaches 2.880 million euros.

The regional government has managed⁤ to reduce the deficit compared to the previous year, achieving a positive balance in ⁢its accounts. This improvement is⁢ attributed ⁢to increased income and efficient spending management. The superávit represents a ‍significant step towards fiscal consolidation for Castilla⁢ y león.

Castilla y León achieved‍ a⁢ surplus ⁢of 444 million euros at the end of November, representing⁤ 0.57% of its GDP. This is a decrease from the 0.83%‍ recorded during the ‍same period last year, according to data⁣ from the region’s government.

The surplus is attributed to increased tax collection and efficient spending management. Tax revenue grew by 8.2% year-on-year, while non-financial⁤ expenses were contained, increasing ⁤by only 2.8%.

The regional government highlighted that this positive ‍result allows for⁤ greater financial adaptability ⁢and strengthens the region’s economic stability. it also positions Castilla y León favorably for meeting its budgetary⁢ goals.

Despite the decrease in the surplus⁤ percentage compared to⁢ the⁣ previous⁤ year,⁣ officials maintain that the current figure demonstrates responsible fiscal policy and a healthy economic ⁢outlook for the region.
