Play Dead!

Through religious, animalistic, conceptual, post-humanist, transhumanist, and ecological perspectives, the project experiments with overcoming limitations, questioning what lies beyond the end and beyond death.
Designed as an open system, Play Dead!
follows the multi-stage metamorphosis of a butterfly, a rhizomatic process where each stage contains the memory of the past and the potential of the future.
Transformation is not a linear progression but a continuous becoming, where each trace anticipates its disappearance and each end is a prelude to expansion. The project is a dynamic field of forces, a device where matter is consumed to generate new possibilities, a cycle that, like Heraclitus’s concept of time, is constantly renewed.
The Play Dead
exhibition unfolds along two paths, enriching the central theme through diverse artistic perspectives.
The first path presents a reflection on the resistance to life through the power of writing, wich becomes a form of care, memory, and an antidote against oblivion. The works embody the word as a refuge, an act of rebellion, and a space for survival.
The second path explores the survival of the body in relation to the pervasive presence of technology. Technology is presented as an ambivalent force, poised between progress and self-referential decline. This dialectic creates a paradoxical charm, revealing the vulnerability of bodies in the face of technological evolution.
These two paths offer a multifaceted vision of the human condition and its interactions with the technological world,creating an exhibition that is both an invitation to reflection and an act of creative resistance.

offers not only a virtual tour of the historic building and the museum’s collection but also an immersive experience where visitors can customize their visit by independently placing works in the space, creating their own exhibition. This will be facilitated through two physical stations,one with a 65-inch multitouch screen and PC monitor,and the other with 360-degree viewers.
