The Caracas Lions returned to action in style after two matches postponed due to rain. The long-haired team defeated the Tigres de Aragua 11-6 yesterday in Maracay.

The game’s most outstanding player was Harold Castro, who went 3 for 5 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored by the long-haired team.

Colin Peluse was the winning pitcher of this contest and José Guedez suffered the loss. Leones left their record at 7-9, while Tigres is 10-9 so far this season.

In other contests on Sunday, Bravos swept Tiburones de La Guaira in the two-game series on the island with a score of 8 runs to 7. On the other hand, Águilas beat Caribes 2-1 to fight for the distribution positions directly.

In Barquisimeto, Navegantes del Magallanes recovered after defeating Maracay last Saturday and beat Cardenales de Lara 5-3 to remain alone in fourth place.

The next day will be played tomorrow with the duels Águilas-Magallanes, Leones-Bravos, Tiburones-Caribes and Tigres-Cardenales. There will be no action in any stadium tonight.
