Cats & Soup Collaborates With Sanrio Characters

NEOWIZ has announced a collaboration between its mobile idle game, Cats & Soup, and the globally recognized Sanrio Characters. The update introduces themed content and events that integrate Sanrio figures into the game’s relaxing forest environment.

The collaboration is centered on a narrative where Sanrio characters arrive in the game world after spotting a mysterious rainbow rising above a special soup. Players can now interact with Cinnamoroll, Pompompurin, and Pochacco through various forest activities, including cooking food, managing a café, and participating in picnics.

Event Mechanics and Rewards

To mark the update, NEOWIZ is hosting a festival event that continues until May 6, 2026. This includes a Dice Event where players navigate a board to earn currency. This currency can be exchanged for limited-edition Sanrio-themed facilities and furniture, such as the Pompompurin Music Box and the Cinnamoroll Slide.

a seven-day Attendance Event allows players to obtain a free Pompompurin Mini Costume Set based on their cumulative login days. A separate Login Reward Event began on April 1, 2026, providing daily in-game currency rewards and gifts for logging into the application.

Themed Content and In-Game Customization

The update introduces a wide array of aesthetic modifications and collectible items. Players can access character-themed costumes, including headbands, balloons, bags, and doll outfits. There are also specific outfits available for Baby Kitties.

The collaboration adds several unique functional and decorative assets to the game environment:

• A giant Pompompurin pot used for cooking.
• A Pochacco-themed hammock for catnaps.
• A special skin for the hot air balloon floating above the cat forest.
• A collection of 11 furniture pieces, which includes a refrigerator and a slide.
• A set of facility skins that reflect the Sanrio theme.

NEOWIZ has also implemented collaboration-exclusive package items. These include wind-up Doll Friends designed to highlight the personalities of the Sanrio characters and a Special Guest feature where characters appear spinning in a manner similar to a teacup ride.

Developer Objectives

The collaboration was designed to meet long-standing requests from the game’s community. A representative from NEOWIZ stated that the primary goal of the update was to combine the aesthetic appeal of the cats with that of the Sanrio characters.

The core of this collaboration, prepared to fulfill the long-standing wishes of ‘Cats & Soup’ fans, is the ‘irresistible cuteness’ that the cats and Sanrio characters provide together.
