Cauca Chamber of Commerce Shines as Pandemic Hero: Receives Prestigious Recognition for Unwavering Business Support
Bancóldex Recognizes Cauca Chamber of Commerce for Supporting Business Activity
The promotion of the CCCauca was made by Bancóldex within the framework of the 2024 Confecámaras Congress, through the “Popayán Responde” line of credit.
This 13 September in Cartagena, within the framework of the Confecámaras Congress, the Business Development Bank (Bancóldex), drew attention to the work and effort of the chambers, including those of Cauca, for their commitment to leveraging business activity in the regions of the country.
The Cauca Chamber of Commerce was recognized for joining to produce solutions for companies in the region, at critical times of the pandemic. With the line of credit ‘Popayán Responds’ from Bancóldex and the Mayor’s Office in Popayán, together with contributions from the Chamber, $22,075 million was paid in 1,434 credit operations.
These resources provided support to entrepreneurs so that they could overcome the first effects of the crisis with the capital and liquidity they needed for the maintenance and subsequent economic regeneration of their businesses.
“The joint work developed with the chambers has been key in supporting the business fabric of the country, especially micro, small and medium entrepreneurs in the regions. We feel it is an honor to have allies with whom we share the commitment to continue promoting business strengthening; this recognition is testament to that ongoing work.“said Javier Díaz Fajardo, president of Bancóldex.
Similarly, in the event the work of the Barranquilla chambers of commerce was highlighted for their support to companies during the pandemic; to those of Cúcuta for innovation together with Bancóldex in the search for the technological transformation of MSMEs; to Sincelejo for his efforts to join the initiative to support the Popular Economy, and to Bogotá for his progress and learning in the integration of financial and non-financial tools to support the business sector.
The credit institution also pointed out that in this way they reaffirm their objective of continuing to promote business development in the country, through strategic alliances that allow them to provide finance on favorable terms to entrepreneurs from all economic sectors and regions of the national territory, thereby meeting their specific needs, especially those of the Mipyme segment.
The recognition was received by the executive president of the Cauca Chamber of Commerce, Ana Fernanda Muñoz Otoya.
