PLG​ Taoyuan Puyuan pilot player Zhou Yixiang was fined NT$180,000 on ⁣the spot and had his license suspended at the end of last month ⁤for ‍suspected drunk driving. Following the incident, the pilot announced that Zhou Yixiang⁣ would leave the team,⁣ and the contract between the two parties would be terminated immediately.

Zhou Yixiang was suspected of drunk driving, and the police issued a fine of NT$180,000. According to the ​”Road Traffic Management Law and Regulations,” passengers in the same vehicle must be fined NT$6,000 to NT$15,000 if the vehicle’s license plate cancellation test exceeds the standard. However, Zhou Yixiang was exempted from the fine after refusing to take ⁣a breathalyzer test.

Lu Zhengru, who was in the‌ same car, failed to fulfill his duty⁤ to⁢ warn Zhou Yixiang of suspected drunk driving. As a result, the TPBL team ​issued a statement in ⁣the evening, imposing a fine of NT$500,000 on Lu Zhengru according to the⁢ team’s internal regulations.

New⁤ Taipei Kings player Lu Zhengru ⁣was suspected of ⁤drunk driving on August 26. When the team came to know about⁣ it, they imposed a fine.

The New Taipei Kings Football Club reiterated that they⁣ will learn from this incident and accept public supervision. The team will strengthen internal management and legal education for players and use strict internal⁣ regulations to ensure⁢ that players strictly comply​ with‍ relevant laws.
