Certified Collectibles Group Opens Authentication Office in Dubai
The Certified Collectibles Group (CCG) has launched its first permanent Middle East office in Dubai, offering collectors and investors enhanced security for authenticating and trading valuable items. The move comes as tangible assets like trading cards, rare currencies, and comic books gain traction as alternative investments.
Located in the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC), this expansion provides regional access to expert grading and authentication for a range of collectibles, including coins, paper money, comic books, magazines, trading card games (TCGs), sports cards, and non-sports cards.Collectors and dealers can now submit items directly to CCG middle East, the groupS regional affiliate.
Submissions are securely transported to CCG’s headquarters in Sarasota, Fla., for grading by experts. Afterward, the items are returned to Dubai fully insured and tariff-free under a Temporary Importation under Bond (TIB) procedure. The new office enhances Dubai’s role as a hub for authenticated and graded collectibles, a growing area within alternative investments.
Arafaat Ali Khan, CCG Managing Director, Middle East, noted the strong interest from collectors and dealers, stating it indicates the market’s potential. He added he is excited to contribute to its advancement by making CCG services more accessible.
CCG brands now available in the UAE include Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC) for coins, tokens, and medals; Paper Money Guaranty (PMG) for banknotes; Certified Guaranty Company (CGC) for comic books, magazines, and trading cards; and James Spence Authentication (JSA) for autograph verification. Autographed comics and trading cards can be submitted now, with autographed memorabilia services to follow.
