Cebu Normal University Dominates Nursing Licensure Exam: 12 Top Graduates Shine!
CEBU CITY – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that twelve graduates from four universities in Cebu excelled in the November Philippine Nursing Licensure Examination.
Chariemae Cañazares from Cebu Normal University (CNU) secured the highest score of 92.6, making her the top performer. CNU dominated the list with eight graduates in the top twelve. Other standout graduates from CNU include:
- Marc Emmanuel Arepal Estillore – 4th place, 91.8
- Jaymi Loise Basilla Abellana – 5th place, 91.6
- Liza May Collamar Salas – 6th place, 91.4
- Laarni Jane Acibo Durango – 7th place, 91.2
- Mae Jyn Bartido Rosalita & Mary Angelique Jore Tabasa – 8th place tie, 91
- Roy Justin Harani Erandio – 9th place, 90.8
- Jeremiah Paul Capangpangan Ureta – 10th place, 90.6
Roxxane Virgie Bebanco Libron from Cebu Doctors University tied with Erandio for the ninth spot with a score of 90.8. Adrianne Lauren Torres Ozaraga and Kert Bea Labus Rom from Velez College also tied in the top ten, each scoring 90.6.
Dr. Joseph Elvir Tubilan, vice president for academic affairs at CNU, noted that the College of Nursing has achieved a perfect passing rate for thirteen consecutive years. He described CNU as one of the top nursing schools in the Philippines.
Cañazares expressed her commitment to serving her country and appreciated the tuition-free education at CNU. The PRC reported that from 34,534 examinees, 29,349 passed the exam held on November 9 and 10.
