Fonsi concluded with “Santa Marta” from his latest album, El Viaje, inviting Carlos Vives, the Person of the Year honoree, to sing along.
El Viaje received a Latin GRAMMY for Best Pop Vocal Album. This album contributed to Fonsi’s 11 Latin GRAMMY nominations and his six wins. Four of these wins were for “Despacito,” which earned Record Of The Year and Song Of The Year in 2017.
