Celine Dion has announced her return to the stage with a limited engagement in Paris, marking her first full-length concert series in nearly six years. The announcement comes after the singer’s prolonged absence from live performances following her diagnosis with stiff person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder.

The engagement, titled CELINE DION PARIS 2026, will consist of 10 concerts held at the Paris La Défense Arena. The performances are scheduled to begin on Saturday, September 12, 2026, and will run through October 14, 2026.

Announcement and Ticket Details

Dion revealed the news in an emotional video message broadcast on March 30, 2026, which coincided with her 58th birthday. The video was filmed beneath the Eiffel Tower and shared via her verified Instagram account.

Tickets for the residency are scheduled to go on sale on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 10:00 CEST, 4:00 a.m. ET, and 1:00 a.m. PT. A presale for the event began on April 7, 2026.

This year, I’m getting the best birthday gift of my life…I’m getting the chance to see you, to perform for you once again in Paris, beginning in September! I’m feeling good, I’m strong, I’m feeling excited, obviously a little nervous, but most of all, I’m grateful to all of YOU!

The concert experience is designed to feature Dion’s most popular hits in both English and French, serving as a tribute to the songs that have defined her global career.

Health Battle and Recovery

The return to the stage follows a private battle with stiff person syndrome (SPS), a condition Dion revealed in December 2022. The disorder is characterized by muscle spasms and can affect a person’s ability to sing, and it currently has no cure.

Due to the diagnosis, Dion was forced to cancel her planned world tour and step away from the limelight. Her health struggles were further detailed in a 2024 documentary titled I Am: Celine Dion, which provided a vulnerable look at her difficulties recording singing sessions and her fight to manage the condition.

In her March 30 announcement, Dion stated that she is managing my health and feeling good, noting that she has even begun dancing again. She expressed gratitude for the prayers and support of her fans during her most difficult times.

Industry Context and Anticipation

The upcoming residency at the Paris La Défense Arena, a 40,000-seat venue, places Dion among an elite group of artists to headline the arena for an extended run. The event is being described as one of the most highly anticipated live music events of the decade.

Leading up to the official announcement, speculation grew in Paris as posters featuring Dion’s song titles appeared across the city. Reports from the Canadian outlet La Presse had also suggested a residency was in the works shortly before the singer confirmed the news via social media.

This return represents a significant professional milestone for the five-time Grammy winner, as it marks her first full-length concert appearance since her diagnosis and subsequent break from performing.
