Celtic Soars Against Ross County: Scales and Idah Shine in Dominant Victory
Celtic won 5-0 against Ross County in the William Hill Premiership at Parkhead. Manager Brendan Rodgers made six changes to the team after a recent Champions League match. Four players scored: Liam Scales, Luke McCowan, Paulo Bernardo, and Adam Idah, along with skipper Callum McGregor.
Ross County’s goalkeeper, Jack Hamilton, replaced the injured Ross Laidlaw before halftime. Despite his efforts, Celtic dominated the game and moved five points ahead of Aberdeen and 14 points ahead of Rangers.
Celtic quickly took control. Scales scored the first goal in the 10th minute with a header. McCowan scored the second goal, deflecting his shot past the County defense. Bernardo added a third goal, followed by McGregor’s powerful shot from distance, making it 4-0. Idah capped the scoring with a fifth goal just before halftime.
In the second half, Celtic continued to pressure County. Idah hit the woodwork, and substitute Greg Taylor nearly scored but hit the post. Hamilton made several saves to prevent more goals as County struggled to find their footing.
Celtic’s next match is against Aberdeen, and they are in strong form heading into that game.
