Celtic vs Hearts Player Ratings: Key Highlights & Standout Performances Reviewed

November 24, 2024 Catherine Williams - Chief Editor Sports

Celtic achieved a 4-1 victory over Hearts at Tynecastle, extending their lead in the Scottish Premiership. They are now three points ahead of Aberdeen and 11 points clear of Rangers.

In the first half, Celtic struggled with their performance. Callum McGregor was less influential, and Nicolas Kuhn focused more on defense than attack. Hearts goalkeeper Craig Gordon faced little threat as Celtic entered the break unable to find their rhythm.

In the second half, Celtic shifted gears. Kyogo opened the scoring shortly after the restart. His initial shot was saved, but he tapped in the rebound. Kuhn then scored a spectacular second goal for Celtic. Substitute Adam Idah quickly made an impact, scoring the third goal just minutes after coming on. Hearts did reduce the deficit with a goal from Musa Drammeh, but Idah sealed the win with a late penalty.
