DETROIT⁢ — Four-time Pro-Bowl center Frank Ragnow is coming out of retirement and rejoining teh Detroit Lions.

Ragnow decided to unretire as he “loves the game,” according ⁢to ⁢a source who spoke with ⁤ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Wednesday,November 27,2024,was the deadline for Ragnow to be reinstated and remain eligible to play during the 2024-2025 NFL season,sources told ESPN. Players placed on the reserve/retired list must be reinstated by this date to participate in the current season.

Ragnow initially announced his retirement on May 10, 2024, citing concerns about the long-term effects of repeated head⁤ injuries. ⁢ He shared his ‍decision in a‍ statement released by‍ the Lions,​ expressing⁢ a desire ‌to prioritize his health and well-being.At the time of his retirement, Ragnow was 27 years old.
