MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan women’s golf coach Ryan Williams has announced the signing of two student-athletes to comprise his Class of 2026: Thornnatcha ‘Milly’ Pantepin of Thailand and Mya Morgan of Elizabeth, Pennsylvania.
The signings represent a significant step forward for the Chippewa program, bringing in talent from both international and domestic fronts. Williams expressed his excitement about the incoming class, highlighting the unique strengths each player brings to the team.
“We’re excited about the class that we have coming in in 2026,” Williams said. “We have Milly coming from Thailand, a country with a rich golf history and a ton of success in the women’s game. She’s had a ton of great experiences and influences in her home country and she will be able to come in and compete right away.”
Pantepin, competing out of Samut Sakhon, Thailand, and attending Acellus Academy, recently demonstrated her skill by winning the SINGHA Junior Golf Central in 2025 with a 2-under par 70. She also placed fifth in the 2024 Play Your Best Junior Tournament, shooting a two-day total of 7-over par 151.
Williams emphasized the importance of Pantepin’s personality and potential for integration into the team dynamic. “She has a great personality and I think she’ll fit right in with this group and that is huge for a kid that is coming from the other side of the globe. It’s a really good situation for her to come into.” Pantepin plans to major in sport management at Central Michigan.
Mya Morgan, a standout from Elizabeth Forward High School in Pennsylvania, brings a decorated amateur career to Mount Pleasant. She is a two-time Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League individual champion and a two-time high school state champion – accomplishments Williams described as “incredibly impressive.”
Morgan’s success extends beyond high school competition. She finished runner-up in both the 2024 and 2025 WPGA Match Play Invitational and secured second place in the 2025 USGA Girls Junior Amateur Qualifier at Willowbrook Country Club, earning first alternate status for the U.S. Junior Girls Amateur. She also finished T39 in the 2025 PGA High School National Championship at Pinehurst Resort.
“Mya has had a couple of big wins in her career and had a lot of success in Pennsylvania,” Williams said. “Her selection to the Pennsylvania National Development Team will help her continue to improve and gives her an opportunity to compete at a high level, which in turn gives her great experience coming into college. She is incredibly competitive.”
Morgan’s accolades include being named the WPGA Girls Junior Player of the Year in both 2024 and 2025, and earning the Uniontown Herald-Standard Player of the Year Award twice. She has also been recognized as a Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Athlete of the Week twice and honored as the Mon Valley Independent Athlete of the Week. She served as a four-year letter winner and team captain at Elizabeth Forward.
Beyond athletics, Morgan is a high-achieving student, holding the school’s nine-hole record (4-under 32) and participating in numerous extracurricular activities. She is a member of the National Honor Society, the Tri-M Music Honors Society, the Leo Club, and the Green Team, and served as an officer in the Leadership Academy. She is also the head anchor and co-producer of the school’s News Team. Morgan plans to major in electrical engineering and is set to graduate from Elizabeth Forward High School in June 2026.
Morgan’s father, Anthony Morgan, played football at both the University of Pittsburgh and California University of Pennsylvania, as well as in the Arena Football League.
Both Pantepin and Morgan are expected to be eligible for the fall 2026 season, and Williams believes they will contribute significantly to the program’s continued growth and success.
