The Government of India has announced the export levy framework for petroleum products effective from June 1, 2026, to June 15, 2026. The notification specifies the duties applicable to diesel, petrol and aviation turbine fuel (ATF) exported from the country.
Under the new schedule, the Centre has retained the export levy on diesel at ₹13.5 per litre. This rate remains unchanged from the previous period.
The government has fixed the export duty on petrol at ₹1.5 per litre. For aviation turbine fuel, the export levy is set at ₹9.5 per litre.
Domestic Fuel Pricing
The government confirmed that domestic fuel rates remain unchanged. The adjustments to the export levies do not affect the domestic excise duty or the retail prices of fuel within India.

The stability of domestic rates indicates that the current excise duty structures and the Special Additional Excise Duty (SAED) and RIC rates remain in place for the first half of June 2026.
