Cetera Launches RIA and Branches Channel for Advisor Support

Cetera Financial Group is expanding its advisor support network with the launch of its new RIA and Branches Channel. This initiative aims to serve advisors across various affiliation models, including independent RIAs, Cetera’s W-2 RIA structures, and its supported independence framework. The move underscores Cetera’s commitment to meeting the diverse needs of advisors and clients, offering a comprehensive platform for growth and support.
Jen Hanau, a wealth management executive with more than 20 years of experience, has been tapped to lead the new channel. As Channel Leader,Hanau will oversee sales strategy,manage client-facing teams,and drive growth through collaborative innovation. Her experience includes advisor recruitment, platform development, and strategic business growth, making her well-suited to guide this new venture.
Hanau previously served as national Managing Director at Mariner, where she played a key role in expanding its independent advisor platform and enhancing support models.She also held leadership positions at Fidelity Investments and Charles Schwab, further solidifying her expertise in the RIA ecosystem. Her deep understanding of the financial landscape will be invaluable in her new role at Cetera.
The RIA and Branches Channel consolidates several advisor communities, including Avantax Planning Partners, Cetera investors, Cetera Blueprint, and The Retirement Planning Group. As of March, this new channel encompasses more than 600 advisors managing approximately $33.5 billion in client assets. This consolidation aims to streamline resources and provide a more unified support system for advisors.
