Security forces maintained heightened vigilance throughout the morning along the immediate perimeter of the Tarajal crossing, the Benzú zone, and surrounding border sectors. According to the Government Delegation in Ceuta, no unauthorized crowd entries or major incidents occurred during the period, despite active security protocols remaining fully deployed to handle any contingencies. While the city of Ceuta experienced normal conditions without mass arrivals, Moroccan authorities reported several small groups attempting to approach the frontier near Fnideq, known locally as Castillejos.

Moroccan Security Interceptions and Arrests

In addition to stopping the groups near the border, Moroccan security personnel detained 61 individuals suspected of using social media networks to incite and promote irregular migration attempts. During the operation, security personnel deployed tear gas and used helicopters to disperse crowds, as observed by reporting teams on the ground. Following the documentation of these security operations by journalists from EFE and RTVE, the local representative of the Moroccan Ministry of Interior instructed reporters to leave Castillejos. Officials threatened to revoke press credentials and confiscate working equipment before journalists were expelled from the area.
