Chad Powers Meets Himself in ‘Eli’s Places’ Season 3 Trailer

Chad Powers Meets Himself in ‘Eli’s Places’ Season 3 Trailer

August 26, 2025 Marcus Rodriguez - Entertainment Editor Entertainment

Eli Manning’s “Places” Just Keep getting Wilder: Season 3 Trailer Drops!

Eli Manning is proving he’s more then just a two-time Super Bowl MVP; he’s a natural on camera. The former New York Giants quarterback is back for a third season of his hit ESPN+ series, Eli’s Places, and The Hollywood Reporter is thrilled to give you an exclusive first look at the official trailer.

Eli’s Places, premiering Wednesday, August 27th, continues its fun-filled exploration of college football’s vibrant culture. Produced by Omaha Productions (the company co-founded by Eli’s brother, Peyton Manning, and Jamie Horowitz) and NFL Films, the show dives deep into the traditions, personalities, and unforgettable moments that make the college game so beloved. Its a collegiate companion to Peyton’s Places, which focuses on the history of the NFL.

This season promises to be the wildest yet. Across ten episodes, Eli tackles everything from setting a toilet paper world record at Auburn’s legendary Toomer’s Corner to recreating the original gatorade recipe with none other than former Florida Gators head coach Steve Spurrier. He’ll also pay tribute to the late, great Texas Tech coach Mike Leach with a pirate-themed segment. But the fun doesn’t stop there. As THR previously reported, Eli will be dusting off his iconic Chad Powers disguise, this time alongside Glen Powell (fresh off Hit Man and Top Gun: Maverick), who is starring in the new Hulu comedy series chad Powers. For those unfamiliar, the chad Powers character originated in a 2022 episode of eli’s Places, where Manning went undercover as a hilariously awkward penn State walk-on. The sketch went viral, inspiring Powell and Michael Waldron (Heels) to develop a full-fledged series about a disgraced college QB who attempts to revive his career by masquerading as the unlikely Chad Powers. While powell takes on the character in the Hulu series, Eli’s Places will feature a unique interaction between the two Chad Powers iterations.

Adding to the star power, James Austin Johnson of SNL fame (known for his Donald Trump impression) leads a long list of guest appearances this season. Expect to see familiar faces like Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix (formerly of Auburn), University of Georgia head coach Kirby Smart, former Stanford QB and current Stanford Football GM Andrew Luck, University of Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian, former Texas QB Colt McCoy, former Texas A&M TE Martellus Bennett, Washington Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury, Pro Football Hall of Fame coach Bill Cowher, and Good Morning Football host Kyle Brandt.

“I’m thrilled to be back for Season 3 and to continue telling all the great stories college football has to offer,” Eli Manning told THR. “We’re featuring so manny amazing athletes and teams from campuses across the country, and even break a world record this season!”

And yes, that world record involves a whole lot of toilet paper. Get ready for another season of laughs, insights, and unforgettable moments as Eli Manning continues his journey through the wonderfully wacky world of college football.
