Chained on the Beach: Gun Jom Phalang’s Shocking Encounter with an 11-Year-Old Boy and the Father’s Heart-Wrenching Reason
Gun Jom Phalang Intervenes in Case of 11-Year-Old Boy Chained on Pattaya Beach
A disturbing incident on Pattaya beach has come to light, where an 11-year-old boy was found chained by his parents. Gun Jom Phalang, a local activist, stepped in to help the boy, and the father, Pee Muang, has explained his reasons for taking such drastic measures.
The incident began when a video clip surfaced on social media, showing the boy standing and smoking an e-cigarette in front of an entertainment venue. It was later discovered that the boy was 11 years old and had a history of running away from home, prompting his family to search for him on multiple occasions.
Officials from the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, Chonburi Province, intervened and took the child to the Children and Family Home in Chonburi Province for assessment and rehabilitation. However, the parents wanted to take care of the child themselves.
Recently, Gun Jom Phalang, along with his wife and team, met with Colonel Navin Teerawit, Ph.D., at the Police Station to discuss the case. They coordinated with officials from the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, Chonburi Province, to inspect the beach area, where the boy was found chained to a chair by his parents.
Gun Jom Phalang expressed his discomfort with the situation, stating that Pattaya is a major tourist city, and such incidents can damage the city’s image. He emphasized that the child did not exhibit violent behavior and that the parents’ actions were not justified.
The father, Mr. Sakda, admitted to chaining the child because he was afraid of him running away and causing trouble again. He also admitted to taking methamphetamine and apologized to society for his actions.
Officials from the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, Chonburi Province, will take care of the child and provide rehabilitation and treatment. The father will also undergo drug treatment, and if the child’s symptoms improve, the parents can express their desire to take care of the child again.
This incident highlights the need for better solutions to address the complex issues faced by families and children in need of support and care.
