BOWLING GREEN, Fla. — Charlie Woods, son of golf legend Tiger Woods, captured his first American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) title Wednesday at the Team TaylorMade Invitational. The 16-year-old rising star carded a 6-under 66 in the final round at Streamsong Resort’s Black Course to secure the victory.
woods’ remarkable performance topped a field of 71 players, including several top-ranked AJGA competitors.Prior to this event, his best AJGA finish was a tie for 25th. He entered the week ranked No. 606 by the AJGA.
The young Woods finished with a three-round total of 15-under 201. His final round included eight birdies and two bogeys. He won by three strokes over Luke Colton,Willie Gordon and Phillip Dunham.

Woods began the final day tied for second place, having shot a 2-under 70 in the opening round and a 65 in the second. This victory marks a important milestone in Charlie Woods’ junior golf career.
Earlier in his career, Woods won the Hurricane Junior Golf tour’s Major Championship in June 2023 and the Last Chance Regional golf tournament later that year. Despite these wins, he failed to qualify for the U.S. Open earlier in May, shooting a 3-over 75.

With this win at the Team TaylorMade Invitational, Charlie Woods is expected to climb in the AJGA rankings and continue competing in high-level junior golf tournaments.
