Woods, starting on the ⁤back nine, was 3-under through eight holes before a bogey on the par-4 18th. After six consecutive pars, he finished with a bogey-birdie-bogey stretch, leading to the playoff for the final spot in ⁣the⁤ U.S. Junior Amateur qualifier.

Last summer, Woods missed the cut in ‍his U.S. Junior Amateur debut at Oakland ‍Hills in Michigan. His father won three U.S. Junior Amateurs and three U.S. Amateurs before ⁣his storied professional career, which includes 15 major championships and 82 PGA Tour victories.
