WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair has shared details regarding her relationship with Scarlett, a young fan battling a brain tumor, describing the child as a significant source of inspiration and perspective in her life.

In an interview with Doug Bopst and a subsequent appearance on SportsCenter, Flair discussed how the bond with the seven-year-old has provided her with strength, particularly while she navigated her own professional challenges and physical injuries.

Origin of the Relationship

The connection between the athlete and the young fan began while Flair was sidelined from competition due to a knee injury. According to Flair, a member of the WWE social media team named MJ was visiting Scarlett at a hospital through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

During the visit, Scarlett identified Flair as her favorite wrestler. MJ contacted Flair via text to ask, Hey, can I FaceTime you with Scarlett? I am with her through Make-A-Wish at one of the hospitals. Flair agreed to the request and connected with the child via FaceTime.

Following that initial interaction, Flair remained in contact with Scarlett. As of February 17, 2026, Flair stated that the two have been a part of each other’s lives for almost two years.

Impact and Perspective

Flair described the relationship as one of the most impactful experiences of her life. She noted that Scarlett, who is six or seven years old, faces her life-threatening battle head-on with no fear and continues to smile and engage in the activities she enjoys.

The wrestler explained that the child helps her maintain a broader perspective on her own difficulties. Flair indicated that when she experiences a bad day or becomes upset over matters that are not important, Scarlett reminds her to live each day and avoid taking things too seriously, noting that things can be taken away from you so quickly.
