Hong Yu-sun, a Korean resident in Japan who was selected by Incheon Shinhan Bank as the first overall pick in the 2024~2025 WKBL rookie draft, is set to play in the women’s professional basketball league next season. In an interview, Hong Yu-sun expressed her excitement, saying, “It’s a strange Korea, but I’m happy that I’m playing basketball with players better than me,” and emphasized, “I want to grow into a good player and go to international competitions wearing the Taegeuk mark like my older sister Heo Mi-mi (Judo).”
